Lois Sipple

The funeral service for Lois Sipple, of Albert Lea, will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Theodore Catholic Church, Albert Lea. The Rev. James Berning and Deacon Mike Ellis will officiate. Interment will be in St. Theodore Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Bonnerup Funeral Service, 2210 E. Main St., and one hour before the service at the church. There will be a prayer service at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Lois died peacefully on Wednesday morning, June 24, 2009, at her home. She was 61.
Lois was born on Nov. 11, 1947, in Grand Rapids, the daughter of Albert and Evelyn (Schroeder) Johnson. An Albert Lea resident most of her life, Lois graduated from Albert Lea High School.
She had worked at the Good Samaritan Center and also Albert Lea Medical Center. She was united in marriage to Roger Sipple on July 15, 1967, in Albert Lea. He preceded her in death in 1997.
She was a member of St. Theodore Catholic Church and enjoyed sewing, crafts, gardening, flowers and fishing.
Lois is survived by her daughter, Sally, and her husband David Erwin of Albert Lea; sisters: Luella (Ralph) Alexander of Henderson, Nev., Gladys Albert of Moses Lake, Wash., Ardella (Clyde) Larsen of Moses Lake, Marlene (Ken) Conway of Bakersfield, Calif., Clara Johnson of Moses Lake; a brother, Keith Johnson, of Moses Lake; and mother-in-law; Ethel Richter of St. Paul. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Evelyn Johnson; her husband Roger; and a brother, Harold Johnson.
