A regional business expo is again coming to Diamond Jo Casino in Northwood, Iowa, and there’s still plenty of time to reserve a booth.

The 2012 Regional Business and Technology Expo is hosted by the Mason City Chamber of Commerce and will be from 4 to 7 p.m. March 29. Albert Lea-Freeborn County Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Randy Kehr said the expo gives local businesses the chance to meet people in Iowa.

“From our standpoint the advantage is exposure to other businesses and expanding connections,” Kehr said.

He said for some it might even be a time to connect with other Freeborn County businesses, but it also gives local businesses a chance to connect with Iowa businesses.

“It’s a chance to get out and reach out to other people,” Kehr said.

The event is free and open to the public, and participating chambers include Albert Lea-Freeborn County, Forest City, Northwood and Lake Mills.

Exhibitors are members of one of the participating chambers who design, produce, distribute, manufacture or sell products or services to consumers and businesses in northern Iowa and southern Minnesota. Last year’s attendance was more than 250 people.

Beginning at 3 p.m. exhibitors will have an opportunity to network exclusively with each other for an hour before the expo is opened to the public. Door prize drawings will be at 6:30 p.m.

Benefits for exhibitors include building relationships with other businesses, networking, opportunity for increased sales and more.

Fees for booths are $300 for premium (five available), $275 for standard and $225 for new members (five available). There will be access to electricity and wireless Internet. There are 44 booths available and anyone interested must sign up with their chamber.
