Becky Cambern, 59

Becky Sue Cambern, 59, of Hudson, Wis., died on Monday, April 20, 2009, at Fairview University Hospital in Minneapolis after a very recent cancer diagnosis.
She was born the daughter of Russell and Bessie (Johnson) Steinhauer on Jan. 1, 1950, in Albert Lea. She graduated from high school there and went on earn her nursing degree from the Rochester School of Nursing. On Aug. 29, 1970, Becky was united in marriage to Jay Cambern. They would be blessed with two sons, Jason and Travis. Becky worked as an LPN at Christian Community Home in Hudson, American Heritage in Hammond, and Good Samaritan in Stillwater; she always became attached to the residents she cared for. Becky was a compassionate woman who loved her family and being with people. In her free time, she liked to read and go shopping.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Becky is survived by her husband of 38 years, Jay; sons: Jason (Kari) of Rochester and Travis of San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren: Brittany, Bryce and Jack; sister, Judy (Earl) Dibble of Springfield, Md.; best friend, Nancy (Bob) Fischer; and extended family and friends.
A celebration of her life will be held at noon on Thursday with at gathering from 10 a.m. until noon at the O’Connell Family Funeral Home in Hudson, 715-386-3725.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
