Steven Dale Adix, 59, of Mansfield Township, died Tuesday, March 31, 2009, at his home. Memorial services were at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mansfield Lutheran Church in rural Alden. The Rev. Donald Rose officiated. Visitation was Friday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Mansfield Lutheran Church and one hour prior to the service at the church. Bruss-Heitner Funeral Home in Wells was in charge of arrangements.
Steven Dale Adix was born April 4, 1949, to Max and Maurine (Brekke) Adix. He graduated from Kiester High School and attended Vo-Tech Ag Business in Worthington. He served in Vietnam for the U.S. Army. Steven married Debra Ann Yost on April 16, 1978.
Steven was baptized, confirmed and married at Mansfield Lutheran Church and was a lifelong member of the Mansfield community. He farmed as a fine steward of the land, enjoyed raising pigs and was a co-owner of Precision Pork.
Steven enjoyed watching his children participate in sports, playing with the family dogs, shopping at Mills Fleet Farm, eating at Culver’s, and playing cribbage. Above all, Steve’s family was truly his pride and joy. He deeply loved his family and enjoyed all of his many friends.
Survivors include his wife, Debra; children: Stephanie Ann and Tyler Stevenson; his mother, Maurine Adix; brother, David (Laurie) Adix; sisters: Maxine (Omer) Hamer, and Kathleen Adix. Steven is also survived by father and mother-in-law, LaMars and Ruth Ann Yost; sister-in-law, Denise (Archie) Kluender; brothers-in-law: Kevin (Ann) Yost, and Lowell Yost. He is also survived by nephews, nieces and many extended family members.
He was preceded in death by his father, Max Adix, in 1994.
May Steve rest in peace and his beautiful memory remain alive in our hearts forever.
