Beatrice Paulson, 92

Funeral services for Beatrice A. Paulson, 92, of Albert Lea will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Calvary Baptist Church. The Rev. Bob Weniger will officiate. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the services at the church.
Beatrice died on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2009, at her home.
Beatrice A. Paulson was born on May 25, 1916, in Manchester, the daughter of Charles and Hannah (Jensen) Christensen. She attended Itasca school before moving to Albert Lea where she graduated from the Albert Lea High School in 1934. Beatrice worked at Sanders Drug for a short time and then on Jan. 15, 1944, she was united in marriage to Robert L. Paulson at her parents home in Albert Lea. She was a baptized member of Calvary Baptist Church where she was active in the Sunday School as a teacher, was a member of the church circles and the American Baptist’s Women’s group. Her most joy came from being a homemaker to her husband and family.
Survivors include her son, David and wife Paulette (Westland) Paulson, Albert Lea; grandson, Nicholas Paulson, Champaign, Ill.; and granddaughter, Betsy and husband Nathan Smith, Waterloo, Iowa; sisters, Dorothy Farnham and Helen Coonradt of Albert Lea; sister-in-law, Erliss and husband Roland Kelzenberg, Owatonna; several nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
Beatrice was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; son, Steven, brother, Paul in infancy; brothers-in-law: Les Sorensen, Red Imme, Alva Jensen, Ken Coonradt and Blair Farnham; sisters-in-law: Shirley Imme and Eunice Jensen.
Beatrice was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Memorials preferred to Calvary Baptist Church or Hayward Lutheran Church.
