Memorial services for Alejandra G. Adams of Albert Lea will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Albert Lea.
Alejandra G. Adams, of Albert Lea, was born on Aug. 17, 1927, in Eagle Pass, Texas, the daughter of Jose and Petra (Chavez) Guiterrez.
She attended school in Texas. She taught herself to read and write English and Spanish.
She married Paul Adams on Sept. 23, 1944 in Morrill, Neb. Alejandra had been a resident of Albert Lea for the past 65 years. She was a Jehovah’s Witness and active in the Bible Ministry in our area, teaching the future of hope and encouraging bible study. She had been employed at Land-O-Lakes and Hills Gardens.
She liked gardening, flowers, plants, sewing and the outdoors.
She especially enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Alejandra died on Dec. 24, 2008 at her home.
She is survived by 11 children: Mary Sue (Jesse) Zamora of Albert Lea, Mary Lou (Gabriel) Loya of Atlanta, Ga., Oscar
(Nora) Adams of Albert Lea, Rudy (Becky) Adams of Albert Lea, Alma
(Ray) Talamantes of Albert Lea, Blanca E. Guardado of Albert Lea, Alexandra (Bartolo) Orozco of Atlanta, Ga., Gloria Cerda of San Antonio, Texas, Dora Sandoval of Des Moines, Iowa, Silvia (Pedro) Ortiz of Albert Lea, Ernesto Adams of Sandstone, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, son Paul Jr. and three grandchildren.
