Alan Miller, 56, of Apple Valley, passed away unexpectedly on Nov. 21.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Florence and Archer Miller, and father-in-law, Harvey Bell.
Survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Norma (Bell); daughter Elizabeth Miller; mother-in-law, Iris Bell; many brothers and sisters-in-law; and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Alan grew up in Albert Lea and graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1970. He then attended Bethany Lutheran College, receiving his A.A. degree and then transferred to Winona State College graduating in 1974. Alan was a truck driver his entire working life and was an avid sports enthusiast and outdoorsman.
Funeral service is Wednesday at 1 p.m. in Heritage Lutheran Church, 13401 Johny Cake Ridge Road, Apple Valley, with his visitation today from 5 to 8 p.m. in Henry W. Anderson Mortuary, 147th and Garrett Avenue, Apple Valley. Interment will be in Hartland Cemetery.
