Private memorial services for Mark Allan Mellum, 54, of Mankato will be held at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Chapel. Interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery.
Mark died Nov. 6, 2008, at his home.
Mark Allan Mellum was born on July 6, 1954, to Walter and Lorraine (Greengo) Mellum in Albert Lea. He grew up in Albert Lea and graduated from Albert Lea High School in 1972. Mark attended two years at Mankato State for electronics. He owned his own service repair shop in Mankato. For the past 10 years Mark had been medically disabled. He enjoyed fishing and his family.
Survivors include his children, Kris and Nathan Glade and their children Che’ and Jordyn of Mankato, and Lisa Mellum of Mankato; brothers, Dan Mellum of Rapid City, S.D., and Brad and wife Penny Mellum of Albert Lea; nieces and nephews, Shay and Becca Mellum and their children Jacob and Kiley, Jennifer Mellum and son, Griffin, Bryan and Natalie Parks and their children Cody and Megan all of Rapid City, S.D.. Katie Mellum and Jason Mellum; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Mark was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
