Floyd Lyneis

Funeral services for Floyd Raymond Lyneis of Albert Lea, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2008 at the Bonnerup Funeral Service Chapel. Pastor David Hernes will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the Chapel. Interment will be in the Calvary Cemetery, Blue Earth.
Floyd died peacefully at his home surrounded by his Crest family. He was 70 years old.
Floyd was born May 12, 1938 to Louis and Dorothy (Linder) Lyneis. He moved into Crest Services on Sept. 14, 1979 to begin what were the happiest days of his life.
Floyd worked at Cedar Valley Services for years doing various jobs that included; delivering the Freeborn County Shopper, grounds keeping at the Food N Fuel and janitorial work.
Floyd’s greatest joy in life was horses, at which he got the opportunity to ride many times at the Roger and Joyce Sward farm. He enjoyed listening to country music, attending ARC activities, SPIRE, Special Olympics and spending time with his housemates.
Floyd is survived by numerous Crest family and friends, his housemates Joe, Sam and Tim, two sisters; Ruth Ann Borge of Albert Lea, and Mary Dowd of Albert Lea, one brother; Eldon Lyneis of Cedaredge, Colo., and many nieces and nephews.
Floyd was preceded in death by his parents and one brother-in-law.
Floyd touched so many of us with his gentle spirit and smiling eyes. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and cared for him.
