Doris Hill

The Funeral Service for Doris C. Hill, of Albert Lea will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 10, 2008 at Bonnerup Funeral Service in Albert Lea. The Rev. Krista Stokke will officiate. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Glenville. Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m. on Sunday at Bonnerup Funeral Service, and one hour before the service at the funeral home.
Doris died on Thursday, Nov. 6, 2008, at the Albert Lea Medical Center. She was 86.
She was born on April 24, 1922, in Decorah, Iowa, the daughter of James and Rosetta (Hauge) Moran.
She attended school near Fergus Falls and then began helping her parents. Doris was united in marriage to Gordon Hill on Nov. 16, 1940. She had worked at the Lake Region Hospital in Fergus Falls. After the sudden death of her husband in 1964, she moved to the Albert Lea area and raised her family.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Glenville. Doris quietly raised her seven children and enjoyed being involved in their lives. She loved being surrounded by her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She liked watching television especially soap operas and game shows.
Doris is survived by her children: Carol (Roy) Bremseth of Glenville, Ruth (Aldin) Grahn of Glenville, Betty (Clem) Stender of Albert Lea, Patsy (David) Ziebell of Emmons, Connie (Bob) Gorden of Owatonna, Brenda (Randy) Dunford of Walters and Larry Hill of Albert Lea; grandchildren: Troy (Kari) Hulbert of Albert Lea, Dawn
(Tony) Williams of Glenville, Lisa (Roger Jr.) Baseman of Glenville, Kevin (Julie) Grahn of Albert Lea, Tim (Roberta) Grahn of Albert Lea, Jason (Kaye) Grahn of Northwood, Iowa, Cindy (Walter) Lenze of Albert Lea, James (Judy) Stender of Clarks Grove, Laura Crawford and Gary of Albert Lea, Carmen (Ron) Uzlik of Albert Lea, Dustin Stender of Albert Lea, Amanda Stender of Albert Lea, Michael (Suzanne) Ziebell of WI, Brian (Kelly) Ziebell of Emmons, Kris (Jenny) Lau of Red Wing, Joshua Lyman and fiancé Katrina Brooks of Cambridge, Nicholas (Angie) Clark of Albert Lea, Nathan Clark of Albert Lea, Tyler Clark of Walters, Cary Bremseth and fiancé Justin Webber of Omaha, Neb., Royce Bremseth and Gary Bremseth of South Dakota; 37 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law: Maryanne Moran of Albert Lea, and Lorraine Moran of Fergus Falls, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gordon, granddaughter Robin Stender, grandson Daniel Hulburt; great-granddaughter Racheal Lenze, son-in-law Marvin Hulburt, two brothers: Jamey Leon Moran and Harold Dean Moran.
