Paul Mondeel

Paul Curtis Mondeel, 54, of Lewisville, Texas, died Wednesday, Oct. 29, 2008, at his home. He was born Aug. 1, 1954, to Gerrit and Gertrude (Sather) Mondeel in Albert Lea. He grew up in Hollandale where he had been a member of the Hollandale Reformed Church. In 1972 he graduated from Albert Lea High School and in 1976 from the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks. After college he moved to Texas. There he was employed for 30 years. In 1988 he was married to Becky Luke.
Paul is survived by his daughter, Krista Mondeel of Lewisville; mother, Gertrude Ness of Albert Lea; brothers, Mark Mondeel of Eagan and David (Sue) Mondeel of Plano, Texas; sisters, Jane (Jim) Sewald of Aubrey, Texas and Ann (Keith) Carlson of Valparaiso, Ind.; stepbrothers, Philip (Mary) Ness of Albert Lea and Bruce (Eileen) Ness of Albert Lea; stepsister, Lois Steiger of Savage; and uncles, aunts, nieces, stepnieces, nephews and stepnephews.
Preceding him in death are his father, Gerrit Mondeel; stepfather, Earl Ness; and grandparents.
A memorial service is being planned in Texas. There will be a private graveside service in Hollandale at a later date.
