Cora Schultz

Funeral services for Cora Estelle Schultz, 96, of Alden will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home. The Rev. Greg Ofsdahl of Redeemer Lutheran will officiate. Interment will be at the Alden Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Cora died Wednesday, Oct. 1, 2008, at her home.
Cora E. Schultz was born Dec. 8, 1911, to Orange and Elizabeth (Klaus) Millhouse in Carlston Township, Freeborn County. She graduated from high school in Alden. On Dec. 23, 1931, Cora was united in marriage to Walter Schultz in Northwood, Iowa. Cora and Walter owned the Alden Recreation Parlor. In 1949, the couple began farming and continued until their retirement in 1981 when they moved into Alden. Cora enjoyed cooking, playing cards, and gathering with friends and family. She was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Alden.
Survivors include her son, Gerald “Jerry” Schultz of Alden; grandchildren, Ronald (Terri) Schultz of LeRoy, Linda (Wayne) Nelson of Freeborn, and Jackie Schultz of Albert Lea; great grandchildren, Jason Thompson, Katya Fredrickson, Garrett Schultz, Gradon Schultz, and Reece Schultz.
Cora was preceded in death by her husband, Walter; parents; sisters, Nora and Edna; and brother, Elmer.
