Roger Bok

The graveside service for Roger Bok of Albert Lea will be 11 a.m. on Friday at St. Theodore Catholic Cemetery, Albert Lea. The Rev. James Berning will officiate. Military honors will be accorded. Visitation was from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Bonnerup Funeral Service, Albert Lea.
Roger died Sunday, Sept. 28, 2008, at his home. He was 76 years old.
Roger was born Jan. 31, 1932, in Freeborn County, to Tony and Francis (Mucha) Bok. He attended St. Theodore Catholic Grade School and Albert Lea High School. He then entered into the United States Navy. After being discharged from the Navy, he worked for Wilson and Company, Freeborn Construction, Albert Lea Auto Salvage and tended bar at Harold’s Bar. Roger enjoyed woodworking and remodeling, hunting and fishing.
Roger is survived by his children: Denise Radtke and her husband Darrell of Minnesota Lake, Julie Beyer and her husband Bruce of Minnesota Lake, Donnie Bok and his wife Becky of Blue Earth, Lori Stenzel and her husband Greg of Wells, Tony Bok and Jackie Lent of Minnesota Lake, Mary Holan of Hayward; 12 grandchildren; one great- grandchild; sisters: Geraldine Gilbertson of Albert Lea, Patricia Bok of McQueeney, Texas, Rosemary Dowling of Albert Lea and Janice Schultz and her husband Frank of Atlanta, Ga.
Roger is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Connie Mae; and brother, Richard in infancy.
