Louella Munson

Funeral services for Louella Munson, 93, of Albert Lea will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at First Lutheran Church in Albert Lea. The Rev. Daniel Baker will officiate. Interment will be at Lakewood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:30 to 7 p.m. at Bayview/Freeborn Funeral Home and one hour prior to the service.
Louella died Sunday, June 8, 2008, at Thornecrest.
Louella Mathilda Munson was born on Feb. 21, 1915, to Olaf and Dagmar (Olson) Dahl in Albert Lea. She grew up in the Albert Lea area and was a 1932 graduate of Albert Lea High School. On June 26, 1937, she was united in marriage to Theodore R. Munson in Albert Lea. Louella was an active member of First Lutheran Church in Albert Lea and belonged to the women’s group there. She also served on the Welfare Board in Freeborn County for several years. Louella enjoyed antiques particularly collecting various types of glassware.
Survivors include her son, Steve and his wife Joyce of Albert Lea; grandchildren, Kim Schultz of Savage and Erin Munson of Mankato; great-grandchildren, Lindsey Munson and Paige and Brock Schultz; sister, Beverly Nelson of Albert Lea; brother, Norval Dahl of Irving, Texas; and many nieces and nephews.
Louella was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ted; grandson-in-law, Ron Schultz; brothers, Harold and wife, Ardith Dahl, and Ralph and wife Madeline Dahl.
