The Firecracker Classic, a 3-on-3 basketball tournament will take place on Saturday, July 3 starting at 9 a.m. for youth in grades 5-12. The event will take place in downtown Northwood, Iowa, and be held during the annual Fourth of July celebration.

Each team will consist of three players who will play the two-game guarantee during the tournament. Medals will be awarded for first, second and third places in each division. Cost for each player is $10. Registration must be done in advance.

“We are very excited for this year’s basketball tournament. Being the first year we don’t really know what to expect, but we do know that it will continue to grow and get much bigger,” said Aaron Foster, tournament director. “The Worth County Jaycees have done a great job of putting this together and I know the kids will appreciate it.”
