The United Methodist Church of Albert Lea is hosting weekly organ recitals during Lent. Recitals begin Thursday, March 1, from 12:15 to 12:45 p.m.

The organists performing this year are all members of the Southeast Minnesota American Guild of Organists. Recitals such as these are held throughout the United States during the Lenten season. You will hear music appropriate for the Lent and Easter seasons.

March 1: Robert Tewes — director of music at Grace Lutheran Church, Albert Lea

March 8: Eileen Nelson Ness — director of music at the United Methodist Church, Albert Lea

March 15: Gail Thurnau — organist at Christ Episcopal Church and Ascension Lutheran Church, Albert Lea

March 22: Brian Williams — director of music at Calvary Episcopal Church, Rochester

March 29: Jeffrey Daehn — carillonneur at Mayo Clinic, Rochester

There is no charge for the recitals, an offering will be taken following the recitals. Come and enjoy a cup of coffee while listening to wonderful organ music.
