Funeral services for Karissa Joy Hendrickson, 4 months, of Freeborn, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at West Freeborn Lutheran Church. The Rev. Dennis Frank will officiate. Interment will be at the Carlston Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at West Freeborn Lutheran Church and one hour prior to the service. Karissa died Tuesday, July 27, 2010, at Albert Lea Medical Center.

Karissa Joy Hendrickson was born on March 29, 2010, in Albert Lea, the precious daughter of Matthew and Jennifer (Duncan) Hendrickson. She became a baptized member of West Freeborn Lutheran Church on June 6, 2010. Her sponsors were Great-Aunt Sandy and Great-Uncle Jon Duncan. Karissa was always happy and loved to smile and talk. She loved her big sister Madison and Madison loved her very much. Karissa was dearly loved and the light of so many lives. She will be treasured in the hearts of her family forever.
Survivors include her parents, Matt and Jenny Hendrickson; sister, Madison; grandparents: Joel and Diane Duncan and Wayne and Nannette Hendrickson; great-grandparents: Betty and Ray Hanna, Robert and Harriet Johnson, and Edward Hendrickson; aunts and uncles: Amy and Kory Newman and their children: Alexa, Ashley, and Alyvia; Brent Hendrickson and his children: Hope and Jacob, Justin; Duncan and his children: Dane and Blake; many great aunts and uncles and friends.
Karissa was preceded in death by her great-grandparents: Elvis and Hilly Duncan; and Joyce Hendrickson.
