Albert Lea firefighters quickly extinguished a fire in a home at 207 S. Fifth Ave. that was reported at 7:33 a.m. Thursday.

A fire department spokesman said the probable cause of the fire in the home’s living room was of electrical origin. There was smoke damage to the home, plus a wall and entertainment equipment. No estimate of the loss is yet available, he added.
