The Lens & Shutter Photography Club held its December Christmas Party at the home of Carol and Darwin Haroldson. There were 25 members and guests in attendance.

December’s contest category was bridges. Judges were Mitch Pederson and Teri Simonson. Guest judge was Brie Cohen from the Albert Lea Tribune.

Members receiving awards were:

Dustin Petersen, first place for Brooklyn Bridge

Dave Sime, second place for Hiking Under a Natural Bridge

John Eisterhold, third place for What a View

Honorable mentions were awarded to Mitch Pederson, Darcy Sime and Jim Wendel.

Merit awards were given to Jean Aamodt, Darcy Sime, Dustin Petersen, Linda Eisterhold, Mitch Pederson, Linda Mixon, Jody Newman, Cheryl Herold and Jennifer Unverzagt. Barb Rofshus and Dave Sime each received two merit awards.

December’s winning pictures will be displayed in the lobby of the Farmers State Bank, 1452 W. Main St., Albert Lea, this month. Each month there is a new display of club pictures at the bank.

The next meeting will be Thursday, Jan. 21, at 7 p.m. at the Rofshus Precision Machines Building, 1701 Margaretha Ave. Competition category will be Fill the Frame. The program will be Questions and Answers on Photography. After the meeting adjourned members and guests enjoyed Christmas treats provided by all of the members.
