How does one get closer in their relationship with Jesus Christ? Whether we are novices or consider ourselves in deep relationship there is more we can experience.

How do you relate to God? The Word says we are to approach Jesus Christ, the Son of God. We recommend dialogue (prayer) but there are other ways as well.

How about identifying what we are doing with Jesus. It is almost a cliché, but you know “What would Jesus do?” I am sure. But do we “live” what Jesus did or would do?

Today, I spent hours in front of my compound miter saw (chop saw). Jesus didn’t have one but he was a trained carpenter in his time on earth. I am limited to needing the modern equipment to get my carpentry done, but I rely on Jesus, especially when I have questions like “How do I do this?”

He, Jesus, will show you. Whether it is the garden, carpentry, office work, etc. He will inspire you to do it the way that is best. Try it!

When in a relationship with God, we can ask for help in ANYTHING. He has the answers, and if we are willing to follow Him and follow His Will, we will come out of any of our dilemmas. Do know, however, if we have gone against His Will, we will pay the consequences in some way. God is merciful and forgiving so even when we have screwed up royally, He does still bail us out.

Just remember the most important fact: “Jesus loves you,” for God is love.
