All children in grades kindergarten through 6 are invited to attend Kids for Christ, a Christian after-school program, on Wednesdays from 3:15 to 5 p.m., at the United Methodist Church in Albert Lea. Kids for Christ will offer Bible stories, music, games, crafts and healthy snacks.

There is no charge for the program although a $20 donation to cover expenses would be appreciated. Parents can arrange for their child to ride a school bus from their school to Southwest Junior High, where a crossing guard will be present to help them get to the church. Parents must arrange for transportation home.

The church is now taking registrations for fall and the first session will be Sept. 15. Call 373-8233 for information. Volunteers are also needed.
