Albert Lea is a giving community as seen by the results of recent fundraisers for cancer and the Salvation Army. I hope this giving will carry over to the United Way fund drive so other organizations will not have to resort to every month fundraising efforts that were supposed to be lessened by giving the United Way. It would also be a good idea to check with the pastor of your church to see how the budgets held up through summer collections.
