Weekend Planner: Eggs waiting to be hunted

The ninth annual Easter Egg Hunt at Northbridge Mall will be Saturday for kids up to 10 years old. Bring a camera to take photos with the Easter bunny.
Children ages 5 to 7 should meet in front of the former Vanity store, and the egg hunt starts at 10 a.m. sharp. Children age 8 to 10 should meet in front of the former Schweiser’s store at 10 a.m. sharp. Parents remember to bring baskets for your children to carry the eggs they find!
Children age 4 and younger and those with special needs will be able to hunt for eggs at the former Christopher and Banks store from 9:30 to 10 a.m. Groups of 15 children will be let in at a time, and there is a limit of five eggs.
The event is free and hosted by the mall, Albert Lea Parks & Rec and the Albert Lea Tribune.
Friday
• The Area Community Choir will perform at 7 p.m. at the Freeborn Congregation Church in Freeborn.
Saturday
• The Northbridge Mall, Albert Lea Parks & Rec and Albert Lea Tribune will host an Easter Egg Hunt at the mall at 10 a.m.
• The Lighthouse Event Center on Marshall Street in Albert Lea will host a treasure sale from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tables may be rented for $25 for people to sell their treasures and colletibles.
Sunday
Restaurants throughout Albert Lea will be hosting Easter Sunday specials including:
• The Trumble’s will be open from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. and has a variety of specials including baked ham, roast beef and roast pork, among others.
• Wedgewood Cove Golf Club will host an Easter brunch buffet with serving from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. For reservations call 373-2007.
• Green Mill will have Easter brunch specials, and children under age 5 will get a special Easter egg surprise.
• Trail’s Travel Center’s family restaurant will start serving a special Easter meal at 11 a.m.
• Albert Lea’s Big Island Bar & Grille will host an Easter buffet from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
