1990 — An article by Lifestyles Editor Marlene Behle featured Dee Teller, an artist and art teacher from Owatonna.

1980 — Nordaas American Homes of Minnesota Lake had distributing and jewelry and gift stores in Mankato and Albert Lea. The Albert Lea store was at 419 S.Washington Ave.

1950 — Queen Stove Works Inc. purchased a controlling interest in American Gas Machine Co. Both firms were located in Albert Lea.
