My purpose in writing is not to list hardships of members of our family due to the tornadoes but to recognize the unsung heroes of the tragic events of last week. Those being humanitarian groups who delivered unlimited food and meals to the volunteers who flocked to the aid of victims … West Freebom Lutheran Church, which opened its doors, facilities and furnished manpower for over a week so exhausted workers might leave the worksite and relax with fellowship elsewhere enjoying donated hot food, sandwiches and drink … workers, known and unknown who appeared out of nowhere and worked countless hours and days only because they wanted to be helpful, not only working on homestead sites but walking the crop fields to clear litter. Thanks to those who furnished their equipment, enabling a speedier cleanup and those who did necessary repairs on this equipment as needed … city and small town groups and businesses who organized countless workers and donated items to lighten the burdens of others. So many people have risen to the need, not to receive praise but as Christ said, “Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.”
