Notorious for her elaborate Halloween costumes made of duct tape, Meghan Sipple’s attitude and style caught the attention of the Albert Lea High School cheerleading coach. Sipple was asked if she ever considered being the mascot. She hadn’t but decided to give it a try. As the mascot, this Albert Lea High School senior is known for bringing props, such as Rollerblades and her Tony the Tiger skateboard, with her to the games.

This lively Tiger can be seen at games giving kids piggyback rides and even challenging other team’s mascots to dance competitions — she beat the Winona mascot in a dance-off on her 17th birthday.

“I think anyone can be a mascot if they really want to,” Sipple said, “Might be a little nervous, but they never know it’s you anyway, so just go out there and be yourself.”
