Taylor Friehl scored two goals in the first half, Ariel Christensen added two in the second half and Anna Anderson scored as the Tigers girls’ soccer team beat Winona 5-0 Thursday.

Anna Brouwers was in goal and got her third win on the season as the Tigers (3-1) got their first team shutout.

“It’s been a remarkable week with two good road victories,” Albert Lea head coach Rick Barnhill said. “We’re gaining momentum and starting to believe in each other and perhaps we can continue what we started.”

The girls’ soccer junior varsity team beat the Winhawks on a Savannah Strom goal, and moved to 3-1 on the season.
