As a citizen of the 1st District, I am very concerned by what is happening to our nation at the highest levels of government and the representation (or lack of it) that we are getting from Congressman Tim Walz.

As is his trademark, Mr. Walz is now taking a gigantic leap to the political center as he begins his final push in seeking re-election as our representative in Washington, D.C. This is so disingenuous coming from a man who voted in nearly total lockstep with the statist agenda of Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and Barack Obama.

People are fed up with it and are paying attention like never before. The unconstitutional way that Obamacare, the failed “stimulus” package, auto company and bank bailouts were rammed down our throats has now come home to roost. Mr. Walz has continually voted with a president and Congress that has brought us to nearly $14 trillion in budget deficits! He has been minding the ship while saddling our children and grandchildern with debt that can never be repaid. He has helped to put our great nation at severe risk of becoming bankrupt and endangering our national security in the process. Mr. Walz is a big supporter of cap and trade.  Ask any farmer, business owner or family what this disastrous peace of legislation will do to them in terms of higher taxes and higher energy costs. The agenda that Tim Walz has supported at an earth-shattering price has produced no new jobs and an unemployment rate of 9.6 percent. He is out of touch with the people of the 1st District. It is time for him to go.

The “San Francisco values” of Nancy Pelosi are not the values of the people of 1st District here in Minnesota. She has presided over a Congress with “approval” ratings of 14 percent. She has steered this once great nation toward a statist regime that we the people have had literally no say in forming, and Tim Walz has supported this agenda every step of the way!

I urge everyone to support Randy Demmer for our representative this November. Randy will bring common sense leadership back to the 1st District, and I guarantee that he will listen to the people that he represents. He has a great track record as a member of the Minnesota Legislature and is ready to lead if we give him a chance. For more information go to www.demmerforcongress.com.
