The funeral service for Hilaria Moreno Talamantes of Albert Lea, will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Bonnerup Funeral Service, 2210 E. Main St., Albert Lea. Her son, the Rev. Eliazar Talamantes, will officiate. Interment will be in Graceland Cemetery. Friends may visit with family one hour before services.

Hilaria died surrounded by the love of her family on Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010. She was 96.

She was born Jan. 11, 1914, in San Marcos, Texas, the daughter of Alvino and Katherine (Lavorico) Moreno. She attended school in Texas and married Eucebio Talamantes in Texas. They have made Minnesota their home since 1956. Making a home for her family was what was most important to Hilaria.Reading her Bible and praying for her family gave her much comfort.

She will be greatly missed by her children: Marcelino (Roxanne) Talamantes of Alden, Joe (Phyllis) Talamantes of Albert Lea, Abel (Leah Ann) Talamantes of Owatonna, Nat Talamantes of Odesa, Texas, Job (Guadalupe) Talamantes of Austin, Martha (Joe) Talamantes Garza of San Antonio, Texas, Eliazar (Mary Alice) Talamantes of Owatonna, Abby (Pete) Pena of Lubbock, Texas, Lydia Green of San Antonio, Texas, Ray (Alma) Talamantes of Albert Lea, David (Connie) Talamantes of Albert Lea; 49 grandchildren; numerous great- and great-great-grandchildren; 10 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; siblings: Gabriel, Alveno, Sarah, Lidia and Miguel; grandchildren: Mark, Anthony, and Dakota.
