I want to thank the Albert Lea Tribune for the article showing the salaries of our public officials. But the Tribune needs to add more to this information for the voters — how much the employees pay for their health insurance and how much the government pays for the heath insurance, how much the employee pays into retirement and how much the government pays into retirement, how many years they have to work before these employees can retire and at what percentage of their salary they will get in retirement, and do they get cost of living benefits after retirement and do they get health insurance after retirement.

Then we also need to see what the salary range and benefits of the similar jobs in the private sector in Albert Lea.
