The Albert Lea volleyball team lost a competitive match at Farmington 3-0 Monday.
Farmington, coming off a state tournament berth last season, beat the Tigers 25-22, 25-17 and 25-21.
“This was some of the best volleyball I’ve seen from our girls,” Albert Lea head coach Jaime Mauseth said. “Farmington is a good team and we competed with them tonight.”
The Tigers were led by Annie Ladwig who had 17 digs and five kills. Jocelyn Smith added seven digs and three aces, Rachel Christensen had five ace serves and 10 set assists and Beth Sekora chipped in five kills and two ace blocks.
“I’m proud of what we did,” Mauseth said. “We need to learn how to finish and win games.”
