ALMC offers program, “Preparing your advance directive”

A free program, “Preparing your advance directive” has been scheduled from 3 to 4 p.m. Monday, Sept. 27, or from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6, at HealthReach, 1705 S.E. Broadway, Albert Lea. People only need to attend one session.
Planning for end-of-life and letting others know what you want is a difficult, but essential, talk to have.
Join ALMC staff in discussing these issues and learning what a health care advance directive is. Staff will be available to explain the document and help fill it out if there are questions. Otherwise people will be able to take the document home. If people already have a document in process, they can bring it along and a notary will be available to assist in completing it.
These programs are sponsored by Albert Lea Medical Center — part of Mayo Health System — and District 241. Register to ensure adequate seating and handout availability by calling 507-379-2046.
