The Conger 4-H Club met on Sept. 12 at the Conger Community Center. President Lorna Riemer called the meeting to order. Thank you to all families who sold raffle tickets, worked in the food stands at the fair, helped with the recycling project, and helped with Community Pride for the Kiddie Farmyard. Our club won grand champion for Community Pride. Thank you to all who helped with our reserve champion banner and grand champion booth. Also, thank you to youth leaders who worked as junior superintendents at the fair and all of the livestock exhibitors for doing well in herdsmanship. The club discussed ways to use the donation from the Belle Creek 4-H Club to help those affected by the tornado in June. Project records are due to Mary by Sept. 25. Records have to be turned in to receive credit for the projects you exhibited. Premium checks were handed out to those who turned in their records. National 4-H week is Oct. 4 through 10. There will be a display of champion projects at the Northbridge Mall that week.
The club decided to have a hayride with the Alden 4-H Club again at our October meeting. We will also have election of officers at night. This will be on Oct. 10. Cards will be mailed to members with more information.
