A free program, “Diabetes and Mental Health” has been scheduled for 6:30 to 8 p.m. Monday at HealthReach, 1705 S.E. Broadway, Albert Lea.
Sponsored by Albert Lea Medical Center and District 241 the session will be presented by Karen Gosen, M.D., psychiatrist in ALMC’s Behavioral Health department, and ALMC’s Diabetes Educators.
“Having to live with a chronic disease such as diabetes, the stresses and strains of taking care of yourself, can be overwhelming at times,” says Dr. Gosen. “Frustration, depression, and lack of enthusiasm to be self-motivated can be difficult. Please join us in discussing these issues and ways to overcome them. Staying healthy mentally and emotionally is key to good physical health.”
