The Albert Lea girls’ swimming and diving team took part in Lakeville Relays Saturday and finished 12th.

“It is a different meet for us,” team captain Amy Horejsi said. “It’s a more relaxed meet since all the events are relays. We have to work together.”

The best finishes for the swimmers came in the 3×100 medley relay, made up of Morgan Field, Bailey Sandon and Kemma Bergland who finished in ninth, and the 200 freestyle relay, made up of Galen Schulz, Whitney Rasmussen, Hannah Hertling and Anna Anderson who finished in 8th place.

The Tigers divers Karli Kriewall, Chelsea Battle and Makenna Friehl, finished in sixth place overall.

The Tigers are home on Thursday as they take on Mankato West.
