GLENVILLE — The Glenville-Emmons volleyball team looked to get back in the win column as they hosted Alden-Conger on Monday night.
The Wolverines defeated the Knights in four games: 18-25, 26-24, 25-14 and 25-23.
“We came out really flat and they came to play,” Glenville-Emmons head coach Lisa Ziebell said. “They were scrappy. It was hard to get anything down on them.”
Alden-Conger came to play right away as they won the first game 25-18 over the Wolverines.
“We started out slow,” Ziebell said. “Give Alden-Conger a lot of credit, they were everywhere.”
After that, it was all Glenville-Emmons as the Wolverines won the next three matches to earn the win.
Kailey Davis led Glenville-Emmons with 36 digs and had five kills.
Kalli Van Ryswyk led the Wolverines in kills with 20 and also had two ace blocks.
Alayna Hall also had a great game with 25 digs and 14 kills.
The Wolverines are in action on Tuesday as they travel to Cannon Valley Lutheran, while Alden-Conger is also in action as they travel to Nicollet.
