Here are highlights in history for Sept. 22, gleaned from the files of the Albert Lea Tribune:
1989 — Heidi Bullock was crowned the Homecoming Queen at New Richland-Hartland High School.
1979 — Naeve Hospital and the Family Y planned to start a Cardiac Rehabilitation Program in early November.
1939 — The New Richland Sportsman’s Club, the New Richland Commercial Club, and the New Richland American Legion post were working together to raise the water level in St. Olaf Lake.
