The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office has issued a no-wake order until further notice for Fountain Lake because of high water.

That means it is unlawful for boats to stir up a wake. High waves erode the shoreline.

Lake patrol officer Matt Levorson issued the order at 1:50 p.m. Saturday.
