Free diabetes program at Mayo

A free program, “Diabetes through the eyes of an endocrinologist,” is scheduled for 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea, Health Reach campus, 1705 S.E. Broadway.

Diabetes continues to be a growing epidemic in the United States. With more and more people diagnosed, the medical community is constantly searching for new and better treatments for this chronic disease. Sumit Bhagra, MBBS, Mayo Clinic Health System Endocrinologist, will discuss new ways of diagnosing diabetes, new treatments and medications. A question and answer period will follow the program.
