6th inning slump

The Albert Lea baseball team had a 4-1 lead over Rochester John Marshall after Makael Lunning sent a ball flying over the right center field fence with two outs for a home run in the third inning.
“We had a nice game going there, and it kind of fell apart,” Tigers coach Joe Sczublewski said.
The Tigers led until the sixth inning when the Rockets took advantage of mistakes in the Tigers’ defense and scored six runs.
“That’s how it goes,” Sczublewski said. “That’s why they’re leading the conference. They can really hit
the ball, and if you don’t play flawlessly in the field, it’s hard to beat them.”
Sczublewski said if the Tigers would have made better plays in the field, they could have came out ahead because Tyler Enderson pitched well enough to do so.
The Tigers will play four games this week, three at home and one in New Richland.
They are currently 13-5 in the Big Nine Conference and 9-5 in Section 1AAA.
