Emmer is coming to American Legion

Are you tired of the many phone calls from various political candidates and/or other political groups/organizations?
Are you tired of political TV ads (with many more to come in the weeks ahead?)
Do we turn them off, if not physically, mentally? How do we make an informed decision for whom we will vote?
Have you taken advantage of the opportunity to hear the various candidates in person when they have been in our community?
Tom Emmer, Republican candidate for governor, will be in Albert Lea on Monday afternoon at the American Legion, 142 N. Broadway Ave., from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
This election may be a turning point in our country. We have been blessed to have the quality of life we have had in America. However, many of us are seeing that quality of life slip away. Lower incomes, many jobless workers, higher costs of living, higher and higher taxes, less and less control in all levels of government, to much government in proportion to private sector jobs. The people we elect in the upcoming election, Nov. 2, will affect many pertinent issues.
How do you decide whom you will vote for? Do you vote for who the mainline media espouse?
The best way to decide is by hearing the candidate in person. By being able to ask questions, listening to questions asked by others, and especially hearing the answers given by the candidates.
Minnesota is a large state. This may be the only time that Tom Emmer is in our community. Let’s fill the Legion Club and be an informed electorate. Those of us who are able to attend will have to pass the message on to those who cannot attend because of work responsibilities. If you are able, come!
