ALMC has scheduled seasonal flu shot clinics 5 to 7 p.m. every Tuesday in October, Oct. 5, 12, 19 and 26, on the fourth floor of the clinic. Shots will be given by appointment only. To schedule an appointment call 507-379-2041.

The cost of the vaccine is $31 for adults and $22 for a pediatric dose. Flu shots are covered by most insurance companies. Children younger than nine require two doses of the flu vaccine one month apart, if it’s the first time they’ve been vaccinated for the flu.

The seasonal flu vaccine is also available to patients and their family members during clinic appointments and at Express Care, for those 12 and older. Express Care, located within the Albert Lea Hy-Vee, is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., and weekends from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
