Emmer to visit Albert Lea Monday

Republican candidate for governor Tom Emmer will be in Albert Lea on Monday at the American Legion Club, 142 N. Broadway Ave., from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
Emmer grew up in Edina, attended St. Thomas Military Academy and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of Alaska-Fairbanks. He received his juris doctorate from William Mitchell College of Law.
Emmer is married to his wife, Jacquie, and they have seven children. The Emmers live in Delano. He has served in the Minnesota House of Representatives since 2004.
Freeborn County Republican Party Co-chairman Al Arends stressed what a great opportunity this is for the community to meet Emmer.
“Don’t let the media make up your mind for you,” said Arends. “Come and meet Tom and decide for your self who is the best candidate and who deserves your vote on Nov. 2.”
The media — i.e.: AlbertLeaTribune.com — will either have a live broadcast of Emmer’s visit on the site or will post tweets to the site of what has happened. Or perhaps both. Either way, watch for up-to-the-minute coverage of Emmer’s visit on the Tribune’s website.
