Frost is possible on Sat. night

Be sure to cover your flowers this weekend.

The National Weather Service is forecasting the possibility of frost for Saturday night. It says the Albert Lea area could see areas of frost sometime after 1 a.m.

On one hand, that’s good for killing the remaining population of pesky mosquitoes that terrorized all Albert Leans this summer.

On the other, frost kills plants or at least signals them to close up shop for the season. Get ready for autumn colors.

The National Weather Service forecasts a low of 34 for Saturday night.

Friday night’s low is 40, and the low Sunday is to be 39.
