No surprise that nurse pay is low

It was no surprise to read that the nurses at the Mayo Clinic in Albert Lea were being paid less than those in the surrounding cities. This is obviously another power play by the current CEO of this facility. Over the past several years his heavy-handed actions have been responsible for the loss of numerous doctors who have left for better-managed clinics.
When I wrote to him about these concerns, he failed to respond until I addressed them to the clinic board. His reply stated that he felt it no concern of his that losing doctors put an added burden on the remaining staff. This meant that some doctors were seeing over 30 patients a day and sometimes more, leaving little time to give them the attention required. I feel the residents of Albert Lea and surrounding area are deserving of better consideration for our medical care. Is it not time he be held accountable for his lack of responsible leadership?
