An Oklahoma man is accused of stabbing a Minnesota woman 109 times and leaving her body along a highway in southern Minnesota.
A criminal complaint filed Monday in Steele County charges 21-year-old Ryan Hurd of Tulsa with second-degree murder with intent, not premeditated. He was arrested in Oklahoma Friday — a day after the bloodied body of 19-year-old Kathryn Rose Anderson of Eagan was found.
The complaint said Hurd admitted to the stabbing. It wasn’t clear if he had an attorney.
Anderson’s father told police Hurd was her boyfriend; a friend told police the relationship was ending.
According to the complaint, Hurd had been arrested Oct. 29 for domestic assault and was prohibited from having contact with Anderson. The couple also had a “domestic disturbance” Oct. 7.
