3 of 4 move on for USC Tennis

After being ousted by Waseca in the section championship, the United South Central girls’ tennis team started the Section 2A individual tournament on Thursday.
Ali Ramsley, Rachel Mattick and the doubles team of Cami Christian/Brianna Schroeder all went 2-0 to move on to semi-final play on Tuesday.
The second doubles team of Megan Chicos/Dani Roberts were defeated by Josie Walters/Sarah Bartell of Maple River in a tough match.
“I am so proud of all the girls today,” USC coach Kim Stevermer said. “They were in good spirits and enjoyed playing great tennis.I am excited for Tuesday and the Semi-Finals!”
Ramlsey and Mattick both won their two matches in straight sets.
While the doubles team of Cami Christian/Brianna Schroeder won their first match in straight sets, while they defeated Tessa Krueger/ Alicia Knoll of Waseca 6-1, 4-6 and 6-3 to move on to the Semi-Finals.
The Semi-Finals and finals will be played on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m.
