Emmons man injured in rollover Tuesday

Steven D. McVenes, 57, of Emmons, received injuries that were not life-threatening in a rollover crash at 4 a.m. Tuesday.

McVenes was driving a 2000 Dodge Caravan southbound on Highway 22 in Faribault County when it went off the roadway to the left, before he over-corrected and went off the roadway to the right and rolled, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

The man was transported to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea. He was treated and released from the hospital, according to a hospital spokeswoman.

No alcohol was detected, according to the State Patrol. He was wearing his seat belt, and the air bags did not deploy. The two-lane highway was reportedly dry and no other vehicles were involved in the crash.
