I would hope that, by now, Freeborn County residents will realize that the best choice for sheriff is Mark Harig. He is very much more qualified for the job than Bob Kindler. I have worked with both candidates. I am a retired detective with the Albert Lea Police Department. I am aware of Harig’s many worthwhile achievements over the past eight years and before. I know of none for Kindler. He appears to be a disgruntled employee with an ax to grind. I believe that the residents of Freeborn County know that they can expect the same outstanding service from Harig in the future, and they will not be fooled by someone who wants his boss’ job and has not earned it.
