Carol Bernice Thompson was reported injured at 5:20 p.m. Tuesday, in a single vehicle crash near the intersection of Freeborn County roads 17 and 14 according to the Freeborn County Sheriff’s office. Charges are pending on results from the Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.

Person injured at recycling company

A Mayo One helicopter responded to I-35 Auto Recycling, 29258 County Road 45, in Clarks Grove at 4:01 p.m. Tuesday after a gate reportedly fell on an employee. No other information was available as of press time.

Junk reported in ditch

A garbage can and other trash were reported in the west ditch of Freeborn County Road 71 and Freeborn County Road 17 at 1:31 p.m. Tuesday, according to Sheriff’s Office reports.

Pedestrian hit by van

A person was reportedly hit by a van in the arm while walking on Hammer Road near the intersection of Y.H. Hanson Avenue at 3:28 p.m. Tuesday, according to police reports. The van did not stop.

Car broken into

A light blue Saturn was reportedly broken into overnight Monday at 608 Giles Place, according to police reports. Several items were taken.
